• 20% of 30 = 6 rupee profit
  36/3 = 12 rupee per passenger
  12*4 = 48
  48 - 24 = 24.

• When 3 passengers income was 3x
  expense=30 rs.
  profit =20% of 30 =6 rs.
  That means his earning is 36 rs. so that per passenger fare must be 12 rs.
  
  When 4 passengers
  earning = 12*4=48 rs.
  expense =24 rs.
  profit = 24 rs. =100%
