  Area of triangle= (1/2) × (base × height) ……… (2)
  
  ∵ Triangle PQS inside the parallelogram PQRST.
  
  ∴ Base × height will be same for both.
  
  Ratio= Area of triangle PQS
  -----------------------------------------=1/2
