- Rs. 250
Labelled Price = 266 x 100/95 = Rs. 280
As labelled price is 112% of cost price, so CP = 280 x 100/112 = Rs. 250 - 7 years agoHelpfull: Yes(10) No(0)
- At 5% discount the saree is 266.
Therefore,
The non-discounted (Original Selling Price) = (266*105)/100 = 280 (Reverse verification proves this)
Now this Selling Price is 12% more (Profit) on the Cost Price.
Therefore,
Cost Price = (280*88)/100 = 250 (Reverse verification proves this) - 7 years agoHelpfull: Yes(6) No(4)

- (MP-(5*MP/100))=266
mp=280
CP=(100/112)*280
cp=250 - 7 years agoHelpfull: Yes(1) No(0)
- let cp be x
labelled price = 1.12x
sp =1.12x *0.95=266
on solving x=250 - 6 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
- I think there is no need to calculate the labeled price. SP is already given. 5% is just to confuse us. The actual answer should be CP = (266 * 100)/112 = Rs. 237.5.
