a circle with radius 2 , has a square inscribed in it. At the edges of square,circles are drawn taking sides as a diameter. Find the area of outer circles
Read Solution (Total 5)
-
- Area of circle with respect to diameter...... a*a=1/2*(d*d).
=>a=2sqrt(2)...........(bcz d=2*2=4)
=>area of square = 2sqrt(2)*2sqrt(2) =8
=>area of circle = pi*r*r = 4pi,
=>( Area of circle ) - ( Area of square ) = 4pi-8
=>Therefore 4th part =(4pi - 8)/4
=>Area of small semicircle =(pi*2)/2 = pi
Therefore area of resin outside of circle = pi -(pi-2) = 2
There for required answer will be = 4 * 2 = 8...this is our answer. - 7 years agoHelpfull: Yes(9) No(3)
- diagonal of sq= diameter of circle
root(2)* a=2*4
a=2root(2)
radius of new circle = 2root(2)/2=root(2)
