• Lets assume x ltr pure petrol is added and the volume becomes 100ltr.
  So, petrol solution
  x+85)/100(100-x)=95 (95 is the purity level in the final solution)
  =>x+85-0.85x=95
  =>x=66.67
  So, 66.67 ltr of pure petrol is added to the adulterated solution.

  so;
