two planes belong to mirchi and green .Distance between two cities A and B is 2100km. wind blow from A to B. when races is with the wind mirchi beats green by 300km. when against the wind mirchi beats by 420km .find the ratio of their speeds when no wind blow ??

Let the speed of the wind=x, Mirchi=M, Green=G kmph, then
Along the wind, speeds of Mirchi & Green are (M+x) & (G+x) kmph.
Against the wind, speed of Mirchi & Green are (M-x) & (G-x) kmph.
According to 1st condition (Along the wind): the time in which Mirchi covers 2100 km, Green covers 1800 km.
=> 2100/(M+x) = 1800/(G+x) => x=6M - 7G ---(i)
Similarly according ti 2nd condition (Against the wind) : the time in which Mirchi covers 2100 km, Green covers 1680 km
=> 2100/(M-x) = 1680/(G-x) => x=5G - 4M ---(ii)
Equating (i) & (ii), 6M - 7G = 5G - 4M
=> 10M = 12G
