A person has 3000 bananas and a camel. The person wants to transport maximum number of bananas to a destination which is 1000 KMs away, using only the camel as a mode of transportation. The camel cannot carry more than 1000 bananas at a time and eats a banana every km it travels. What is the maximum number of bananas that can be transferred to the destination using only camel (no other mode of transportation is allowed).

  coz at a time camel can carry 1000 bananas for 1000 km and it will eat all. then person need to get back and again it can carry 1000 banana for 1000 kms and again it will eaten. so i think 0 bananas can be transferred.

  As camel took 1000 banana in frst time and it travelled half way i.e 500 km and therefore he eat 500 bananas and he places 500 bananas there in way.
  
  Again in second round he did the same and kept 500 bananas in half way.
  
  Similarly in third case he kept 500 bananas in half way as he has eaten 500 bananas in 500 kms.
  
  Now he has total of 1500 bananas in half way then he took 1000 bananas and walk 500 kms to destination and eats 500 bananas and left with 500 banana and places there and went back to take more 500 bananas...
  
  He took (1500-1000) 500 bananas more n walk towards destination and eats 500 bananas in 500kms therefore he was not left with any banana in last turn therefore he only took 500 bananas to final destination.
