  therefore, (50% of x) + (60% of 100) = 55%(100 + x)
  => 0.5x + 60 = 0.55x + 55
  => 0.55x - 0.50x = 60 - 55
  => 0.05x = 5
  => x = 100
  therefore, total number of people surveyed is = 100 +100 = 200
