so,(26-x) be the number of questions answered wrong.
from the given data 8x+(26-x)(-5)=0
By solving we get x=10.

say 10x-16y=0 because total questions are categorised into 10 correct and 16 incorrect then x/y=8/5 satisfies. so 10 answers are correct
