There is a 5L jar and a 3L Jar and an another jar is given to you(without dimensions) and infinite supply of water is there, how you will collect 4 litres in the dimensionless jar? You cannot throw water outside.

-
- jar a ,b z
a=3L
b=5L
z=diameansionless
z filled by two times with 3L jar
z=6L
from 5L jar take out water form jar z
jar z now has 1L
re again Form 3L liters jar put to Z jar
now Z=4L - 5 years agoHelpfull: Yes(5) No(0)
- Let 5L jar as a,3L jar as b and dimension less jar as c
Step1:-
At first fill the jar a with water and then pour 5l to the jar c
Now jar c CONTAINS 5l of water
Again fill the jarb with 3l of water from jar c and water left in jar c is=5L-3L =2L
Step2:
-again pour 3l water from jar b to jar a
And fill rest of 2l from water supply to fill completely jar a .
Step3:
-pour 5l of water to jar c from jar a
Now jar c contains 7l of water
Step4:-pour 3l water to jar b from jar c
Now jar c contains 4L of water - 5 years agoHelpfull: Yes(1) No(0)
- step 1- fill 5L jar with 3L jar .3L jar is left with one 1L water.
step2- pour the remaining 1L water in the Dimension less jar
step3-fill the 3L jar full with water
step 4 - pour the water of 3L jar int Dimensionless jar - 5 years agoHelpfull: Yes(1) No(2)
- So firstly we fill 5litre jar and pour that water in the dimensionless jar.And now from this dimensionless jar we pour some water to fill 3L jar and now this dimesionless jar will have 2L left.Now pour the 3L jar's water into 5L jar and fill the 5L jar to the brim ..now again pour this 5L jar water into 3L jar so you are now left with 2litres water in 5L jar..so now pour this 2litres water into the dimensionless jar so finally its with 4L of water!!

- Let 5l jar will be x:
Let 3l jar will be y:
Dimensionless jar will be z:
Initially fill 5l and pour it into z:
Now fill y using z:
Remaining in z=2:
Again transfer from y to x and again fill 5l repeat same process one more time now z will have 4l accurately. - 5 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
