• it left at 8:00 specifically, only started there, which doesn't give enough information, but going from the assumption it did it would have taken 90 minutes to reach the destination (27/18=1.5 hours to reach the destination) so (1.5*60=90 minutes).
  
  It is there at 9:30a.m., and stays 30 minutes, leaving at 10:00a.m.
  
  50% faster is 1.5 times 18 which is 27 miles and hour, arriving at the destination an exact hour later - 11:00a.m.!
