Let Total distance = d feets
S1 = (8d) / 300 ft/hr --------- equation(1)
S2 = (7d) / ( 120 * 2.5 ) ft / hr ---------equation(2)
Time taken ( T1 ) by Ant 1 to cover 800 ft = (30000) / d
in the same time Ant 2 will cover = S2 * T1 = 700 ft
Total distance to be covered by Ant 2 = 800+700
So put d = 1500 in equation 2
