Read Solution (Total 4)
-
- No of bowlers = x
no of batsmen = y
excluding 1 bowler,
(x - 1) = y => x - y = 1 -------(1)
excluding 1 batsman,
2(y - 1) = x => 2y - x = 2 ------(2)
solving (1) and (2),
Bowlers - 4
Batsmen - 3 - 11 years agoHelpfull: Yes(21) No(5)
- each bowler has same number of batsmen and bowlers
=> excluding 1 bowler, no. of bowlers = no. of batsmen
i.e. x - 1 = y
Each Batsman has twice many Bowler as Batsmen.
=> excluding 1 batsman , 2(y - 1) = x

- The problem stated that it consists of 7 players. first part of solution is as follows:
every bowler in the sense remaining bowlers are 3 and batsmen also 3 then each bowler is equivalent to same no. of bowlers and batsmen.
second part of solution is as follows:
every batsmen in the sense remaining batsmen are 2 and bowlers are 4 so it is twice as many batsmen.
