- Solving by options
take a) 3150
first line 3150/21=150 (first official has 150 hect land)
second line 150-12=138 138*25=3450
which is 300 ton more than first official...thus all the conditions are satisfied...hence ans is true - 11 years agoHelpfull: Yes(3) No(0)
- let first division be containing hectares= x
first division had tons of tendu leaves per hectare = 21x
so,2nd div wud hav hectares= x-12
2nd division had tons of tendu leaves per hectare = 25(x-12) { since ,2nd division had 12 hectares land less than 1st div }
now,
25(x-12)-21x=300 {since,2nd div harvested 300 tons more than 1st,so,2nd minus first wud be done as 2nd is greater}
x=150
so,tons of tendu leaves in first div =21x=21*150=3150
