Mr. and Mrs. A wanted to make a cycle ride so decided to start from two points at a distance of 120km apart. By this time a bee sits on Mr.A’s nose at beginning. Once when they two start from their position the bee also starts to reach from Mr.A to Mrs.A and hits Mrs.A and vice versa until both Mr & Mrs.A meet each other. If Mr.A travels at a speed of 25km/hr and Mrs.A travels at a speed of 15km/hr while bee travels at speed of 60km/hr find the total distance traveled by bee before they two meet each other.

we should consider the time for which bee has travelled.
through out the journey till they meet the bee was travelling with a speed of 60kmph.
so first find at how much distant they met.
let us assume they met at a distance of X km from mr.A's position
time taken to meet=t
t:(x/25)=(120-x)/15
solving for x gives 75km
so the time reqd to meet t=(75/25) or (45/15) =3hrs.
from the question we can observe that the bee was moving untill they were met. that is that has travelled for a time of t(3hrs) with a speed of 60kmph.
so the distance travelled by the bee is :t*60=3*60=180kms.
