A man travels with constant speed. while going he saw a milestone with 2 digit number.after 1 hr he saw a mile stone with the same digits in reverse. after 1 hr he saw a mile stone with same digits which are in 1st mile stone and 0 came in middle i.e. 3didits with 0 in middle. then what is the speed of his?

- let the first number be xy
,second be yx and third be x0y
person s walking with constant speed thatsy in every 1 hour he will cover equal distance
we can write two digit num. xy as 10x+y
likewise yx as 10*y+x and x0y as 100*x+y
now because distance covered in every hour is equal thatsy
10y+x-10x-y=100x+y-10y-x
6x=y
as per question only 1 combination can work out here that is x=1,y=6
first num. is 16
second 61 third 106
we can see that difference between every num. is 45.
hence person is travelling at 45miles per hour.

- 16,61,106
Considering a constant speed we can find the 3 numbers with equal difference
As last number has '0' in middle, then it may be between 101 to 109
So verifying the numbers for equal difference from 11 to 19,we get the numbers 16,61,106 - 11 years agoHelpfull: Yes(3) No(0)
- the last milestone is one of these 101,102,103,104,105,106,107,108,109
therefore we have 11,12,13,14,15,16,17,18,19 in first milestone and 11,21,31,41,51,61,71,81,91 in second milestone
here we can get the three milestones which are having equal differences because the speed is constant.
so answer is 16, 61, 106 - 11 years agoHelpfull: Yes(1) No(0)
- milestone 2 digit 16 after 1 hr we saw same digit as 61 after 1 hr he saw 106 as 3 digits, so his speed is 45 km/hr. explaination is that difference of 61-16=45 and similarly 106-61=45 so this implies he mentioned as constant speed.
