- suppose the no is 100
first condition if it mistakenly divided the no by 2/3 ==>100/(2/3)==>150
second condition the no should multiply by 3/2 ==> 100*3/2 ==> 150
hence output should be 150 and mistakenly the output is 150
so pecentage error is zero - 13 years agoHelpfull: Yes(16) No(3)
- If expected answer was 100, then
initial number = 100*3/2 =150.
Final answer got by mistake = 150*3/2= 225.
Error in result against expected result of 100 = 125.
so % error = 125% - 13 years agoHelpfull: Yes(10) No(19)
- there is no error in result because student unknownly multiply number by 3/2
i.e x/2/3=x*3/2 - 13 years agoHelpfull: Yes(10) No(0)
- Student actually wants
x*(3/2) = 3x/2
but he did
x/(2/3) = 3x/2
So, 0% of error in the result. - 12 years agoHelpfull: Yes(10) No(1)
- MULTIPLYING & DIVIDING BOTH ARE INVERSLY PRAPOTIONAL.SO THE ANS S 0%
- 9 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(2)
- Let the number be x,
On multiplying the number by 3/2, we get 3x/2 ........(1)
On dividing the number by 2/3 i.e. x/(2/3) = 3x/2 ......(2)
Hence we get same number in both cases (1) & (2), so there is no percentage error in the result. - 4 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
