- 30 men takes 20 days and in each 9 hrs.... so 1 man 1 hr work=1/30*20*9,
so, 40 men work 1 hr work=1/135 , so 40 men 1 day work=15/2 hrs - 11 years agoHelpfull: Yes(13) No(15)
- 30 * 20 * 9 = 5400 man-hours required to complete the job
:
Let x = no. hrs a day to do the same job (assuming in 20 days)
40 * 20 * x = 5400
800x = 5400
x = 5400%2F800
x = 6.75 hrs a day for 20 days to do the same job

- 20 men can complete the work in 180 hours so,
40 men can done the work in 20*180/40=135 hours
so,working 9 hours in a day 40 men can finish the job in 15 days - 13 years agoHelpfull: Yes(5) No(20)
- In both cases days are same
so
m1*ti=m2*t2
30*9=40*t2
t2=270/40=71/2hrs - 9 years agoHelpfull: Yes(4) No(6)
- In how many days?

- 30 men take 20 days to complete a job working 9h a day.
40 men take same 20days then working hours per day is:(30*9)/40===6.85 hours - 13 years agoHelpfull: Yes(2) No(7)
- Qn is incomplete.
@ SACRETIES
As per given qn.

- Assume days are same.
30*9=40*x
x=6.75 - 7 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(1)
- 30*20*40=no. of days req. =15
9 hrs a day for 20 days work, per day=9/20hrs
so for 15 days , no of hrs = (9/20)*15=6.75 hrs - 7 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
- so in the first sentence --> 30 * 9 * x = 20 * 24 , x is ration value
so x =16/9
now in second sentence --> 40 * y * x= 20 * 24 , y is the no of working hours a man has to do and i have taken 20 * 24 , as the job needs to be completed in 20 days ( correct me if i am wrong)
so x=16/9 , we got it previously
and y=6.85hrs
so if we convert it , we get 7 hrs 25 min , so close to 7 1/2 hrs , so ans is (b) - 5 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
- m1*ti=m2*t2
