- Qn is not clear.
As per my u8nderstanding, If there are 12 swwets , one person will get 3 sweets and other 9 persons will have 1 each.
So 12 sweets among divided 10 persons.
Many solutions are possible according to this interpretation. - 13 years agoHelpfull: Yes(8) No(2)
- Suppose their is x sweets. So First will get x/4.
Remaining amount=x - x/4 = 3x/4.
suppose single man will get y
so 3y = x / 4
y= x / 12.
so 3x / 4 distribute in (3x/4) / (x/12).
=9
So total man = 9 + 1. =10. - 13 years agoHelpfull: Yes(3) No(0)
- three possibility only
if 1 person get 1/4 of whole then 9 person will get 1/12 of sweet so total 10 person
if 2 person get 1/4 of whole then 6 person will get 1/12 of sweet so total 8 person
if 3 person get 1/4 of whole then 3 person will get 1/12 of sweet so total 6 person will get sweet
So question should be clear enough to find single answer - 13 years agoHelpfull: Yes(2) No(1)
- give a person with 1/4 has three times as others so consider him as 3x sweets
others contain x seats each
now 3x=1/4 x=1/12
now as we got prob then
1/4+n(1/12)=1
we get n=9
and including d person containg 1/4 share we get 9+1 persons=10 persons - 13 years agoHelpfull: Yes(2) No(0)
