You have a bucket of jelly beans. Some are red, some are blue, and some green. With your eyes closed, pick out 2 of a like color. How many do you have to grab to be sure you have 2 of the same?

  let the minimum of x y and z be min
  if we grab min+1 beans then we can have 2 of the same color even if all others are different

  so when we select 4 beans

• if red>>blue>>green than we have to grab at least no of blue + green so that only one color left and the next 2 jelly would be the same color..

• count the number of beans in each color first. say RED=25, BLUE = 35, GREEN = 45.
  
  IF YOU WANT RED :
  Now if you pick 45, worst situation is all 45 are GREEN;
  then pick 35 the worst situation is all 35 are BLUE ;
  next pick 2 and you will surely have 2 RED!
  
  IF YOU WANT BLUE :
  Pick 45 : worst - all GREEN
  Pick 25 : worst - all RED
  Pick 2 more : sure BLUE
  
  Same way for GREEN too (Pick 25 and 35 and then 2 more!)
