Read Solution (Total 3)
-
- at 26 Rs/dozen
Cost of 'n'dozen @16/dozen=16n
As 20% rotten, so remaining 0.8n dozens
The selling price/dozen for 30% profit=1.3*16n/0.8n=26 - 11 years agoHelpfull: Yes(6) No(0)

- Since, 20% of the quantity is spoiled, selling the apples at cost price will result in 20% loss.
Therefore, We are to find the selling price which gives him 30% profit instead of a loss of 20%.
Therefore, Selling Price = Rs. 16 x 13080 = Rs. 26 per dozen - 11 years agoHelpfull: Yes(1) No(2)
