put opt a.) 7/12 (7+.7)/(12+2.4) 7.7/14.4 not equal to 1/2 hence not satisfied
put opt b.) 8/13 (8+.8)/(13+2.6) 8.8/15.6 not equal to 12 hence not satisfied
put opt c.) 6/11 (6+.6)/(11+2.2) 6.6/13.2 equals to 1/2 hence satisfied. - 13 years agoHelpfull: Yes(7) No(2)
- i culdnt get the question wat does A1/2 means
- 13 years agoHelpfull: Yes(1) No(2)
- suppose x=numerator; y=denominator;so it look like x/y;
10% of x=x/10 then x=x+x/10=11x/10
20% of y=y/5 then y=y+y/5=6y/5;
x/y=(11x/10)/(6y/5);
according to question
denominator is 5 extra than num..
now 6y/5 -5=11x/10
11x-12y=50
put x=10;y=5;
suppose previous fraction is z
then z-1/2=11x/10 / 6y/5
so, z=5/2 - 13 years agoHelpfull: Yes(1) No(2)
