On the planet Oz there are 8 days in a week Sunday to Saturday and another day called Oz day. There are 36 hours in a day and each hour has 90 minutes while each minute has 60 seconds. As on earth the hour hand covers the dial twice every day. Find the approximate angle between the hands of a clock on Oz when the time is 15:40 am

angle beetween each digit=360/18=20degrees
dont think about secons and weeks this is an extra data given to confuse
Now as time given is 15:40
so assume first that hour hand is at 15 position
and minute hand is at 40minutes that is at 8 position.
so approximatly answer wiil be 7*20=140
but hour hand moves with minute hand so we have to substract that ammount from 140.
it coms as follows
for 360 degrees rotation of minute hand hour hand moves one digit that is 20degrees.
simillarly for 40 minuts that is=8*20=160 degrees
as minute hand is on 8......
by proporton
if
20 for 36
then x for 160 of minute hand
x comes x=8.88888=aproximately 9.
so our answer is.
140-9=131.

- i got diff answer:
360 degree in 18hr.
so 1hr=20 degree.
360 degree in 90 minutes.
so 1 minute = 4 degree.
15 hours makes 15*20 = 300 degree.
40 minute make (40/90)*4=8.88.
angle made by 15.40=300+8.88=308.88.
angle made by minute hand=40*4=160.
difference in angle=308.88-160=148.88.
so closest answer=146????
