A gun has a nozzle velocity 330 mt/sec. It has to meet a target which is at a distance 5km. It retards at a rate of 8 mt/sec/sec while travelling in air. Find the velocity at a place where the bullet will meet the target.

- according to the formulae v2-u2=2as
here v=? u=330m/s,a=-8(retards at rate so we can take negative)
s=5000m ....v^2=2as+u^2
submit the above values in the formulae
v^2=2*-8*5000+330^2=-80000+108900=28900
v=170m/s - 13 years agoHelpfull: Yes(20) No(0)
- v^2=u^2+2*(-a)*s we have taken -a in place of a due to retardation
=>v=sqrt(330^2-2*8*5000) as 5km=5000m
=>v=170m/s - 13 years agoHelpfull: Yes(4) No(0)
- v^2=u^2-2as
=330^2-2*8*5000
=28900
V=170 - 13 years agoHelpfull: Yes(2) No(0)
- v^2=u^2-2as
=330^2-2*8*5000
=22400
=>v=149.66m/sec ANS. - 13 years agoHelpfull: Yes(1) No(9)
- 170m/s. v^2= u^2+ 2as. here u=330m/s, a= -8m/s^2, s=5km.

- the equation of the speed is v^2+u^2=2as, here the value given is u=330m/sec,a=(-8m/sec^2) and s=5Km=5000m.Put the all vau in the equation and the answer come is v=170m/sec.

- 170m/s.
v^2=u^2+2as
here, we have to find v
u=330m/s
a=-8m/s^2
s=5km=5000m
then,
v^2=330^2-2*8*5000
=28900
then, v=170m/s - 13 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
- v^2=u^2-2as
s=5000m
v=170m/s - 12 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
