Out of 38 people in my office,10 like to drink chocolate,15 like to watch cricket.and 2 dont like both. How many people like both coffee and cricket?

  I should be 20 n place of 2 (don't like both)
  then the answer becomes
  18=10+15-(both)
  => both= 7
  so the answer will be 7.

• There are two options to consider giving rise to 4 possibilities
  People not liking chocolate drink as well as cricket (a).
  People liking cricket but not chocolate drink (b).
  People liking chocolate drink but not cricket (c).
  People liking both chocolate drink and cricket (d).
  The sum of all these should be equal to total number of people in the office.
  Thus,
  a+b+c+d = 38
  i.e., 20+(15-d)+(10-d)+d = 38
  therefore, 45-d = 38
  thus, d= 7

• If 2 dont like both then the answer will be negative.I think there will be 20 in the place of 2.
