• let time taken by ram for 2000m be x, therefore time taken by sakil for 1800m(as ram gave head start of 200m) is (x+1)
  time taken by sakil for 2000m is....
  ((2000*(x+1))/1800)= (10(x+1)/9)
  when sakil beats ram by 1000m when 6 minutes of head start is given..it means ram has already travelled 1000m
  so time taken by ram will be half of time of 2000m = (x/2)
  time taken by sakil to complete race when a head start
  of 6 minutes is given is.......((10(x+1)/9)-6)
  ..we know that time taken by ram for 1000m is equal to time taken by sakil to complete race when 6 min of head start is given..
  i.e. (x/2)=((10(x+1)/9)-6)
  => ((x/2)+6)=((10x/9)+(10/9))
  => (6-(10/9))=((10x/9)-(x/2))
  => x=8
  therefore, time taken by ram (x)=8
  and time taken by sakil = (10(x+1)/9) = (10*9/9) = 10
