- This must be a dummy question bcz
-ve ans is coming by solving this....
Calculating the loss
x/5+2=(x+5)*(15/100)
x= -25
-25 can't be an answer.... - 11 years agoHelpfull: Yes(15) No(3)
- i think answer is 20.

- let the no of games played in the 1st round be 'x',since he won 80% games, lost =20%=0.2x
In next round games lost=0.4
since overall loss is 15% we can write (0.2x+0.4)/(x+5) = 0.15
solving this we get x=7; hence total no of games played is 12 - 11 years agoHelpfull: Yes(5) No(10)
- question is wrong. because now the loss is 20% and additional 5 games has been played out of which 2 games are lost in this loss percentage is 40%. it clearly shows overall loss should be more than 20%.

- @ K.M can u explain me how?
- 11 years agoHelpfull: Yes(3) No(1)
- Let number of total games played by A when it won 80% game is =x
number of games won=0.8x
number of game lost=0.2x
situation after playing 5 more matches..
total no of game=x+5
game won=0.8x+3
game lost=o.2x+2
A/Q....
overall loss is 15%....
so 15% of total match=total game lost....
0.15*(x+5)=0,2x+2
this implies x=60....
so total games played=60+5=65 ans. - 9 years agoHelpfull: Yes(3) No(0)
i think the answer is 105- 11 years agoHelpfull: Yes(1) No(9)
- 20x/100=y eq 1
15(x+5)/100=y+2 eq 2
subtracting 1 from 2 or vice-versa ans will be negative (-55)
so not possible - 11 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
- 1st lost 20% game, then next loosing the next 40%(100*(2/5)) game and adding this to previous record will obviously make his record worst increasing the loosing percentage, so the question is wrong.
