- to form triangle we need 3 non collinear points.... given that there are 24 random points... and of them 7 are collinear hence it can be 24c3-7c3 ( since 7 are collinear points )=1989

- the answer is 24c3 bcz on a plane any way 2 points are always collinear.given no 3 points are collinear. hence to form a triangle we need 3 points which are not lying on straight line(3 non collinear but 2 can always be collinear).7 is given only to confuse us !
