Father works 5 times than his son. If father takes 40 days less to complete the same work . find the days if both work together?

5(x-40)=x or x=50

Therefore, x is 10 .. Hence son will do the same work in 50 days.

then,5x-x=40,x=10
means father work 10 days and the son has to work for 50 days to cmplte the same work
