Speed of a train is 20km/hr . The strength of the steam was increased two-fold but due to
certain other factors, the friction also increased 1 ½ times. If in the beginning the ratio of the strength of steam and friction was 3:1 . Find the present speed of the train.
(a)40km/hr
(b)30km/hr
(c)45 km/hr

- new ratio steam:friction is 6:1.5 as steam double and friction is 3/2 times so 6:1.5 =4:1, now as given 3:1=20 means 3x-x=20,x=10,s0 4:1 is 4x-x=30 ans is 30

- Rate of steam - rate of friction=20;
so, 3x-x=20; x=10
