- in triangle largest space will make 9 small triangle inside it which each has area of 3 sqcm. such that in whole triangle there are 25 smalls triangle
25*3=75sqcm (area of triangle)
ans. 75 sqcm - 11 years agoHelpfull: Yes(20) No(2)
- i think that dividing in 5 equal spaces means height is divided into 5 equal parts..bcz area of the 5 parts can never be equal....if we consider 27 as the difference of 2 triangle's area whose height is in the ratio 4:5,then the total area will be 75.

- height h is divided in 5 parts. let h/5=l. if a line parallel to base cuts a triangle, it forms a trapezoid. Area of trapezoid is 1/2*height*(base1+base2). For the largest trapezoid i.e. the one associated with the base of triangle, base1= base of triangle. height=l. for base2, if we draw a perpendicular from every intersection point of the parallel lines and arms of triangle, we get the base divided in 10 equal parts i.e. every part is equal to a/10. So the length of base2 must be equal to (a- 2*a/10)=4*a/5. so the area of trapezoid is 1/2*l*(a+4a/5)=27. Solving a=30/l. So the area of triangle= 1/2*5l*30/l=75sqcm.
