now the two equation on the basis of question will be formed
xn+10n=600 ------(1)
x(n+2)=600 ------(2)
on solving these two we get x= 50
which are actually the no of the benches

Go with options...as all said answer is 50...so let us check weather it is right or not.
50 benches are there in the class....each bench are increased by 2...so 50*2=100.
10 benches short...that 100 people should sit in 10 benches...that means each bench = 10.
so... now
50 benches = 50*10=500 + 10 benches = 10*10=100
500+100=600 which is equal to 600 people. so 50 is right answer.
