The volume of water inside a swimming pool doubles every hour If the pool is filled to its full capacity

well if it doubles every hour.that means if we assume 1 liter in first hour then 1,2,4,8,16,32,64,128...in respective hours i.e in 8 hours it would be 128liters.
so 1/4 th will be in 6 hours.

8 hours . so in 6 hours it will 1/4 th and 7th hour it will be 1/2 as it will be double in 1 hour

AS the water in swimming pool doubles every hour,hence if it takes 8 hour's to be filled to its full capacity so it must be taking 4 hours to be half filled and 2 hours to be 1/4th filled so the answer according to me is 2 hours....

in 8 hour its full, in 7 hours it's half, in 6 hours it is quarter !!!

1/4th capacity= 32 ltrs =2^5 => 5+1=6hrs

its always good to assume a value
so lets the full capacity of swimming pool be 1000L
8hrs=1000L
7hrs=500L
6hrs=250L
one quater of 1000 is 250
so it takes 6hrs to fill one quater
