Two years before Paul’s age is 2times the Alice age and the present age of Paul is 6times the Alice. what is the presents Paul’s age???( 3years) “u try to solve this question once”
Read Solution (Total 8)
-
- p-2=2A
and
p=6A
so
p=3 - 13 years agoHelpfull: Yes(15) No(9)
- paul's age: alice's age=2:1
after some years
paul's age: alice's age=6:1
the question is wrong because a ration of increased inequality cant increase by adding equal number to both

- Let x be Alice's age and y be Paul's current age
y-4 = 3x
y = 6x
so y = 2(y -4) since y =6x and 2(y-4) = 6x also
y = 2y -8
-y = -8
so y =8
Paul is 8 years old - 12 years agoHelpfull: Yes(3) No(10)
- let present age:
alice=x
paul=y
two yrs ago: 2(x-2)=(y-2)-------(i)
y=6x------(ii)
solving both,we get
x=1/2; y=3

- Let Alice's present age be x
So, Paul's present age is 6x(assume y)
Now, as per given condition,
6x-2=2(x-2)
x=-1/2
y=6*(-1/2)= -3
ignoring negative sign, we can conclude y=3 - 12 years agoHelpfull: Yes(3) No(2)
- let the age of poul=a;
let the age of alice=b;
two year before the condition is
a-2=2(b-2)--------------(1)///poul age was twice of alice
and
now;
a=3b----------------------(2)
by solving two of condition
we get
a=24
b=8

- p-2=2(a-2)
p=6a
6a-2=2a-4
4a=-2
a=-1/2
p=-3

- let paul's present age be 'x'and alice age be 'y'
two years beflore,
i.e) x-2=2y-----1
at present,
x=6y---------------2
subsitute 2 in 1
6y-2=2y;
4y=2---------3
y=1/2. we want pauls age.subsitute 3 in 2
we will get ,
x=3-----answer is three years - 6 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
