=>
A+B+C+D+D+E+F+G+G+H+I=17+17+17=51
=> D+G=6
=>D=1 and G=5
or D=2 and G=4 and vise versa.
(But, Since A is already 4. So last is not possible ).

- Well we consider the given conditions first.
A=4
'A' to 'I' takes values from 1 to 9
Step (i): sum all of them
(A + B + C +D) + (D + E + F + G )+ (G + H + I) =17+17+17
Step (ii): Sum of 1+2+3+.....+9= 45
i,e; A + B + C + D + E + F + G + H + I = 45
Step (iii): Separating excess D & G present in Step(i), we get
45+(D+g) = 51
=> D+G = 6
where as possible combinations are: (1+5), (2+4), (3+3). Since A=4 and numbers don't get repeated, we are left with 1&5. - 6 years agoHelpfull: Yes(3) No(1)
