Seating Arrangement
Six persons A,B,C,D,E &F went to soldier cinema. There are six consecutive seats. A sits in the first seat followed by B, followed by C and so on. If A taken on of the six seats, then B should sit adjacent to A. C should sit adjacent to A or B. D should sit adjacent to A, B or C and so on. How many possibilities are there ?

- According to me it will have innumerable possibilities because it all depends whether A sits on the corner seat or middle seat. If A sits on the corner then there will be only 2 ways for everyone to be seated but if A occupies one of the middle seats then there will be numerous ways in which B,C,D,E,F can be seated according to where A is sitting i.e. 2nd seat,3rd seat, 4th seat,5th seat because each of these persons are distinct. 32 is definitely not the answer.

1 case when is placed in between then there are 2 raise to the power 4 i.e 16 and

- First we have to arrange A, there is 1 method for it, for second person B, there are 2 methods one left and one right, for third 2 methods are there same as for B similarly for others, so total number of methods = 1*2*2*2*2*2 = 32
