- man runs 100m in 10 sec so 10m in 1 second
distance travelled by man in 3.5 second=35m
distance travelled by cheetah in 3.5 sec=100m
man is 100-35=65m back from line - 11 years agoHelpfull: Yes(3) No(0)
- speed of man=100/10=10m/s
cheetah takes 3.5 sec to cover 100m
distance covered by man=10*3.5=35m
distance between man and cheetah= 100-35=65m - 11 years agoHelpfull: Yes(1) No(0)
- 100m in 3.5 sec where as another person 100m in 10sec
x=10-3.5=6.5

- Here, Speed of a man s=100/10 = 10 m/sec..
so, cheetah crosses a line in 3.5 seconds but that line takes a man to 10 seconds..
so, in 3.5 seconds the man travels only 35 meters. i.e., 10 m/sec*3.5 sec= 35 meters..
that means he is lagging the cheetah in 65 meters...
