- Let's take a blank die which has faces a,b,c,d,e,f
(a,b),(c,d),(e,f) are opposite pair of sides
(1,6),(3,4),(2,5) are 3 possible opposite side sets required
These three can be arranged in above blank cube in 3*2 = 6 ways
Each of these pairs can be arranged in 2 ways (1,6) or (6,1).
Therefore Total number of dice possible = 6*2 = 12 - 11 years agoHelpfull: Yes(38) No(0)
- Suppose if you take any of the first pair. Let (1,6) this pair can be placed in 6 ways .after placing pair we have only 2 pairs. then by taking 2nd pair let(3,4), it can be placed in 2 pairs of 4 places. after this we have only 1 pair.in this remaining pair can be placed in 2 ways.so totally
6+4+2= 12 ways. - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(6) No(0)

- hey vanithareddy cud u pls xplain me dis:
(1,6),(3,4),(2,5) are 3 possible opposite side sets required
These three can be arranged in above blank cube in 3*3 = 9 ways
since each set has 3 option and other two will also have 3 each... therefore it shud b 3*3??? if NO den y hav u taken 2*3?? i didnt gt d concept of 2?? pls xpalin
and further in my logic, it shud be
Each of these pairs can be arranged in 2 ways (1,6) or (6,1).
Therefore Total number of dice possible = 9*2 = 18.. pls comment if i am thinking in a wrong way. - 11 years agoHelpfull: Yes(4) No(12)
