Conical & Cylindrical tanks are there. Cylindrical has 500liters greater than conical one.
After taking out 200 liters from both tanks, Cylindrical is double that of Conical. Find the cylindrical initial quantity.

• let Conical tank contains x litres & Cylindrical tanks contains y litres initially
  given,
  y=(x+500) => x=(y-500) .........(1)
  
  also,
  2*(x-200)=(y-200)
  => 2(y-500-200)=y-200 [from(1)]
  => 2y-1400=y-200
  => y=1200
  
  cylindrical initial quantity= y= 1200 litres

  now 200 liters taken from both so cylindrical becomes X+500-200=X+300
  Conical becomes x-200.
  cylindrical is twice that of conical=> X+300 = 2(X-200)
  X+300 = 2X-400 =>X=700
  initially cylinder have = X+500=700+500=1200

• assume that both the tanks are having 1000LTS of quantity.then it is given in the question that cyllindrical is 500LTS more than conical then
  cynd=1000+500=1500 and conical+500
  reduce 200LTS frm both sides but we will see that conical is not the double than that of cyllindrical.
  keep on reducing 1000 frm both sides then at 1200the situation fits.
  cyndr=1200 and conical=1200-500=700(given in question)
  then we have to reduce 200LTS.cyndr=1200-200=1000 and conical=700-500=500
  we find that cylndrical is double than that of conical.

  200ltrs r taken frm both the tanks so the qty bcomes x-200 and (x+500)-200
  and also given cylinder qty=2(qty in conical)
  so,x+300=2(x-200)
  x=700
  therefore cylinder initial qty=x+500
  =1200
