• WHEN ADDING A 3 DIGIT NUM AND 4 DIGIT NUM TO GET 5 DIGIT NUM THEN DEFINITELY U SHOULD BE 9.MAXIMUM CARRYOVER WHILE ADDING TWO DIGITS IS 1.HENCE P IS 1.TO GET A 0 IN ONE'S PLACE BY ADDING TWO NON ZERO DIGITS THE ONLY POSSIBILTY THAT ,THE DIGITS YOU ADD WHEN ADDED SHOULD GIVE YOU 10 HENCE THERE IS A CARRY OVER FOR S+S HENCE THE C SHOULD BE A ODD DIGIT(3,5,7)

  summing up a four digit number with a 3 digit no can result into a 5 digit number only when the 4 digit number is at least 9001 because the 3 digit number can be at max 999(though in actual case its not possible because no three letters in USA are equal).so U has to be 9.now in hundredth place when two numbers are added it can result up to a max of carry 1.now when that carry is added to 1000th place U,and when U is already 9,so E becomes 0 and P becomes 1.so E in units place result is also 0.so A+R=10.that offers carry 1 in tens place with one S in each number in the same adding place.sum of two S is even,and adding 1 gives an odd number.so C in result can be one in 3,5,7 and not 1 or 9 because 1 and 9 are already placed in solution having a different character.now (S+S+1) should be such that it should not generate any carry because an at max carry 1 is added to 9 and S which results to be an S(9+1=10...so 10+S=S).but result is A,a different number.if S=1 in tens place in both numbers then having 1 in hundredth will result to 1 which is not possible .applying a bit of trial we see that S=3 fits.so A becomes 2.so 932+9338=10270 implies P+E+A+C+E= 2+7+1=10..i hope this works..:)
