Read Solution (Total 9)

- 400 meter cloth at rs 40,000 so 1m for 40,000/400 = 100
so cost of (1 +1/2)m = 150 rs
he buys (1 +1/2)m for 150 & sells for 200, so he gains
gain% = (200-150)/150 *100 = 50/150 *100 =33.33 %
ans: 33.33 % gain

- ans 33.33% profit
400 meter in 40,000
1 meter in 100 Rs
1/2 meter in 50 Rs
one and half meter in 150
and sell it at 200
profit is 50 rs
profit percent is 50/150 * 100 = 33.33%

- gain or loss percent on 1 and 1/2 m cost and selling price-
gain or loss=sp/cp-1*100=200/150-1*100
=1/3*100=100/3=33.33%
hence gain=33.33%

- cp for 1 meter=(40000/400)=Rs.100
sp of 3/2 meters=Rs. 200
sp of 1 meter= Rs.(200*2)/3=Rs.(400/3)
gain of 1 meter=sp-cp= (400/3)-100=Rs.(100/3)
gain%= (gain/cp)*100%=((100/3)/100)*100%=100/3%=33.33% - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(1) No(0)
- gain %=(sp-cp)/(sp)*100
