6 Bangles eachof 4 cm in diameter,what is their minimum diameter of the plate required so that each of bangles are kept without overlapping(bangles touching each other)?

• place one bangle at the center and the remaining 5 bangles surrounding them, so
  
  minm dia of plate red = sum of dia of three bangles = 4+4+4 = 12cm

  for min diameter of plate all bangle place in shape of hexagon so side of hexagon is 4 cm and radius of place 4+2 (add radius of bangle )

• @mohan lal y cant we place bangle in middle???and y u make hexagon..it also be possible that u make pentagon and keep sixth bangle in middle..

• I it should be 8 .
  all the five bangles can be put half of the plate and the reaming one in center of all.
  min. diameter of plate 2+4+2 = 8

• One bangle at the center and the remaining 5 surrounding them, so radius of the center +the diameter of the outer bangle = 4+2=6cms
