Cost of the apples is Xrs per kg if the weight is <= 30 kg and if the weight of the apples is more than 30 kgs then Y rs per kg for extra apples is charged if I pay 330 rs for 36 kgs and 345 rs for 39 kgs then how much money I should pay for 10 kgs apples

- for 36 kg:
30x+6y=330
for 39kg:
30x+9y=345
solving both
we get y=5
and x=10
so for 10kg=10*10=100rs
100rs is the ans - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(23) No(0)
- rs 100.....c um payng 45 rs extra for 9 kgs ..so for 1 kg um payng 5 rs xtra .....thrfor , the price of 30 kgs appl is 300rs ..so, by unitary method the price of 10 kgs of appls is 100 rs...

- For 36 kg,
30x+6y=330......(1)
for 39 kg,
30x+9y=339.......(2)
by solving it, we get x=10.4rs/kg and y=3rs/kg
so,for 10 kg price will be 104rs - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(6)
- let 30kg is y
Then we will get a equation of 30x+6y=330 and 30x+9y=345
so by solving both the equations, x=10 and y=5
so we want for 10kg apples as it is - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
- 36kg =345 & 39kg=330
39kg-36kg=3kg (after 30 kg)
therefore 345-330=15 rs
15+15 =30 for 3kg+3kg=6kg
330-30=300 for 30kg
300/10=100rs for 10kg
