Three cities A,B,C are situated are shown in the fig.
A
B C
Given AB= 30 kms , BC= 60 kms and CA= 60 kms
Rahul start from A on his bike, travels to B, from there he goes to C and finally returns to A.
From A to B his average speed was 30 kmph
His average speed for the complete journey is 300/11 kmph
His average speed while travelling from B to C was double his average speed while travelling from C to A.
Q1. Rahul’s average speed during the journey from B toC is…
20 kmph b) 30 kmph c) 40 kmph d) None
Q2. The time that Rahul take to travel from C to A is…….
Read Solution (Total 8)
-
- from b to c avg spd =2x kmph
from c to a x kmph
avg speed fr complete journey =300/11= 150/(1+30/x +60/x)=300/ 1+90/x
on solving :
x=20
thus from b to c avg spd= 60/30 *20 =40kmph
TIME FROM C TO A IS :
60/20 = 3hrs - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(16) No(0)
- 1 + 60/2x +60/x =11/2
b to c speed 2x km/h
c to a speed x km/h
ans1 is 40kmph
ans2 is 20kmph - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(3) No(1)
