What is the next number of the following sequence
7, 4, 6, 3, 4.5, 1.5, 2.25, -0.75, ?

  7 - 3 = 4
  4 + 4/2 = 6
  6 - 3 = 3
  3 + 3/2 = 4.5
  4.5 - 3 = 1.5
  1.5 + 1.5/2 =2.25 [since 1.5/2= 0.75]
  2.25 - 3 = -0.75
  -0.75 + (-0.75/2) =(-0.75-0.375)= -1.125 [since -0.75/2=-0.375]

  numbers at odd places
  7->6 = -1
  6->4.5 = -1.5
  4.5->2.25 = -2.25
  similarly,
  even places
  4->3 = -1

  1.5->-0.75 = -2.25
  as we can see the differnce between the diffrence is incresing by .25
  i,e -1 -> -1.5 = -.5
  -1.5 -> -2.25 = -.75
  so the next diff b/w the diff be -(.75+.25)= -1
  so the ultimate diff be -(2.25+1)= -3.25

  =7+3=10
  n the sum of middle term i.e. 4 n 6 is also 10.
  4.5-0.75=3.75
  also 1.5+2.25=3.75
  also,
