A tap can fill a tank in 6hrs. after half the tank is filled, three more similar taps are opened. what is the total time taken to fill the tank completely?

1 tap can fill the tank in 6 hrs..
now, so time required to fill half tank= 3hrs..
as given ,3 more similar taps are opened so total taps=3+1 =4
now,
time require to fill remaining=time require to fill half tank/total no of tap
==> 3/4hrs ==0.75 hrs =45min..
so total time =time to fill half tank+time require to fill remaining.
==> 3+0.753.75 or 3hrs 45min..
ans: 3 hour 45min..
