- Wrong question... Question might be 2, 9, 5, 49, 11, 169, 17, ?
Square the alternate prime numbers
2
3^2 = 9
5
7^2 = 49
11
13^2 = 169
17
19^2 = 361
Ans : 17, 361
- 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(46) No(9)
- It is the sequance of two series
one is->2,5,11,20
2
2+3=5
5+(3+3)=11
11+(3+3+3)=20
another is->9,49,169
3^2=9
(3+4)^2=7^2=49
(7+4+2)^2=13^2=169
(13+4+2+2)^2=21^2=441
Ans->441 - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(16) No(6)
- yes wrong question

- It's absolutely correct question.
answer will be 32 , 441 , 47, .........
series 1 : 2, 5 ,11 , 20 ,...
next number = 32 (Difference in increase keeps increasing by 3)
series 2 : 9 or 3^2, 49 or 7^2, 169 or 13^2, ....
next number = 21^2 or 441 (Difference in increase of bases keeps increasing by 2)

- 2,9,5,49,11,169,20,x,y
(2,5,11,20,y) (9,49,169,x)
5-2=3
11-5=6
20-11=9
Y-20=12 so,y=32
3*3=9
7*7=49
13*13=169
21*21=441

- Dear Admin,
Everyone is providing their own solution.Every solution seems correct.Please do interfere and provide the correct solutioin - 8 years agoHelpfull: Yes(1) No(0)
- [2]+3=[5]
[5]+6=[11]
[11]+9=[20]
Thus we get the series
2,_,5,_,11,_,20
now for remaining numbers i.e.
9,49,169,_
9=09 where square(0)=0 9 i.e. 09
49 where square(2)=4 9 i.e. 49
169 where square(4)=16 9 i.e. 169
so, next number will be square(6) 9 i.e. 369
->369 Ans. - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(7)
- I think there is 10 in place of 11.
i think correct series is: 2,9,5,49,10,169,20,? - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(3)
- 529 =(23)^2
- 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(1)
- wrong series i think 2,9,5,49,11,169,17
because prime numbers
2
3^2===>9
5
7^2===>49
11
13^2==>169
17
19^2==>361 - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(1)
- 2, 9, 5, 49, 11, 169, 20,...
two sequence are there
one is 2,5=2+3,11=5+6,20=11+9,
other one is 9=3^2,49=7^2,169=13^2,...
next term will be (13+6)^2=19^2=361 - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
- 2 3^2=9
5(difference 3) 7^2=49
11(difference 6) 13^2=169
20(difference 9) 21^2=441 s answer - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
- 2,(2+1)(2+1),5,(5+2)(5+2),11,(11+3)(11+3),20,(20+4)(20+4)

- 2,(2+1)(2+1),5,(5+2)(5+2),11,(11+2)(11+2),20,(20+3)(20+3)
ans:-529 - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
- 2 9 5 49 11 169 20 __
(2 5 11 20) and (9 49 169 __)
2+1(3)=5
5+2(3)=11
11+3(3)=20
2nd series ==square of alt.prime nos.
3 7 13 ..therefore ans==(19)^2=361 - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
- 2,5,11,20
2+3=5
5+6=11
11+9=20
other part
9,49,169,?
9+40=49
49+120=169
169+200=369
so ans is 369 - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(1)
- absolutely wrong question...........:) :)

- the answer is 361
but the value will be 17 not 20 - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
- odd series is increasing by 3 every time like 3,6,9,12
and the even is square of prime no.s
so the answer will be 289,32 - 8 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
