Is 51/x > 51/y ?

b)X is non-Negative

• 51/x > 51/y
  => 1/x > 1/y
  
  a ) X > Y doesn't imply 1/x > 1/y [check for 3 > 2, but 1/3 < 1/2 & -2 > -3 then 1/2 < 1/3 is not true]
  
  b) X is non-Negative , no condn on y , y may +ve or -ve
  check for 3 > 2 => 1/3 < 1/2
  check for 3 > -2 => 1/3 > 1/-2
  
  both statement together not sufficient to tell about 51/x > 51/y

  given X>Y and x is non negative
  hence it means denominator of 1st fraction is greater than denominator of 2nd thus 51/x is smaller than 51/y .

• I think after Combining both Statement We get the Answer
  Like If X is Greater than Y And X is Positive then take value
  x = 1 and y = -1 (X>Y)
  So
  51/1 = 51
  and,
  51/-1 = -51
  51 > -51

  y/x>1
  y>x
  so a is wrong.
  and let take x=-1 and y=1
  51/-1>51/1
  -51>51 is wrong
  and also let us take x=-1 and y=any negative integer=-2
  51/-1>51/-2
  -51>-25.5 it is also wrong.
  if x is negative number whether y is +ve or -ve the equation will be false.
  so x should be non negative

  & this will satisfy option b also. if nly a will true then it violates the condition (eg. x=2, y= 1)

  So Try this value -2 and -4 as we know -2 > -4 so the answer doesnt satisfy the condition
  but if we no that the x is Positive and Greater than Y then we can use 2,-2 value and Condition satisfy

  => 51/2 > 51/1 (it is false)
  next take X=1/2, Y=1/3
  => 51*2 > 51*3(this is also false)
  next take X=1/2, Y=(-1)
  => 51*2 > -51 (this is true)
  so question can not be answered even after using both the conditions
