- Correct answer will be x=1,4.
Given answer is x=4 only which is wrong.
Correct answer will be x=1,4.
Sqrt(2x^2-2x+1)-2x+3 = 0
or 2x^2-2x+1=(2x-3)^2
or x^2-5x+4=0
or x = 1,4
Every body knows that
Sqrt (25) = +- 5 and not only +5 as considered by admin.
Sqrt (1) = +- 1 and not only +1 as considered by admin.
If we consider
Sqrt (25) = - 5, then x=4 should also be wrong.

- dear nishant,
=> sqrt (x^2) = |x|
=> sqrt (x^2) is never equal to + or - x.
and by definition of |x|,
modulus function f(x) = |x| = x, if x> or equal to 0
= -x, if x< 0
hope u get all cleared about sqrt and modulus.
regards
