Read Solution (Total 4)
-
- Ratio of Gupta nd verma's income => 9 : 4 => say 9x : 4x
Ratio of their expenditure => 7 : 3 => say 7y : 3y
both save Rs. 2000
savings = income - expenditure
Gupta's Savings => 9x - 7y = 2000 --->(1)
Verma's Savings => 4x - 3y = 2000 --->(2)
Eqn (1) - (2)
x = 4y/5
Sub x = 4y/5 in (2)
16y/5 - 3y = 2000
y = 10000
x = 80000
Gupta's Income => 9x => 9*80000 = 72000
Gupta's expenditure => 7y => 7*10000 = 70000
Verma's Income => 4x => 4*80000 = 32000
Verma's Expenditure => 3y => 3*10000 = 30000
Ans : Rs. 70000 - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(6) No(1)
- Gupta Expenditure= 10000 rupees.
Income of gupta=9x
Expenditure of Gupta = 7y
Income of Verma = 4x
Expenditure of Verma = 3y
so equation formed will be:
9x - 7y = 2000
4x - 3y = 2000
solve this both euation to get the value of 'y' - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(1) No(0)
- let income of gupta is 9x RS. and verma is 4x RS.
let expenditure of gupta is 7y RS. and verma is 3y RS.
Therefore, 9x - 7y = 2000
and 4x - 3y = 2000
on solving both , we have x = 8000 and y = 10000
so, the expenditure of gupta = 70000 RS. - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
- Gupta expenditure will be 70000.
Income of gupta=9x
Expenditure of Gupta = 7y
Income of Verma = 4x
Expenditure of Verma = 3y
solve this both euation to get the value of '7y' - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
